When Michael Azerrad prepared to write his biography of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana, he conducted over 25 hours worth of interviews with Cobain. Kurt Cobain - About A Boy uses the audio from the interviews as a narrative that allows Cobain to tell his own story. The film doesn’t feature any comments from Courtney Love or Dave Grohl, it’s just Kurt’s story directly from his own mouth. Sadly, I bet we all know how this unfortunate story ends.

Friday [all times Eastern]:

  • Live At Rockpalast: Rick James [BET Jazz 9:00PM]

If the hilarious promos NBC’s been running for this week’s Saturday Night Live are any indication, we’re in for quite a doozy. Shia LaBeouf hosts the episode, which features musical guest My Morning Jacket. Any chance MMJ plays an old favorite, or are we totally getting two tracks from Evil Urges?
