Here’s the list of acts announced in the first two announcements…
When Snoop Lion, the artist previously known as Snoop Dogg, started putting together tracks for his new reggae album, Reincarnated, he enlisted the help of The Police drummer Stewart Copeland. Copeland told Rolling Stone that in lieu of pay for the sessions, he asked Snoop to come to one of his parties to jam. “The deal is that I’m real cheap – don’t pay me a dime. But it’s a day for a day. I’ll certainly play some tracks for Snoop, but Snoop’s got to come over to one of my parties.”
Snoop took him up on the offer and Copeland recorded the ensuing jam session for his YouTube channel. According to Copeland, “Snoop dropped by late one night. After smacking every instrument in the room he got on the mic and started coming up with all this cool stuff. This is all total improv.” Bassist Armand Sabal Lecco also took part in the jam session.
Let’s take a look at the five-minute clip Copeland just posted…
