In 1989 Long Island hip hop act De La Soul burst onto the scene with their now landmark debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising – which featured Prince Paul’s heavy sample production with positive social lyrics at a time when gangster-rap was beginning to make its stamp on hip hop. Now, 20 years later, original De La Soulers Pos, Trugoy and Maseo will celebrate the anniversary of the release with their 20 Years High & Rising Tour that will feature the three MCs backed by the 10-piece Rhythm Roots All Stars.
