Saw them here in Phoenix and thought it was a GREAT show! Both Eric and Steve were spot on and the only thing that would have made it absolutely perfect for me, would have been to have Ginger Baker on drums. Abe did a VERY good job, but he isn’t in Ginger Baker’s realm of greatness.

Abe is one of my all-time favorite musicians. He beats the shit of out of his kit with the biggest smile you can imagine. If I could make an all-star band to back me up it would have Abe on drums.

I thought they killed in DC. Abe Laboriel Jr. is an absolute monster behind the kit. The 5 piece at MSG was great but this band is for real. If you’re thinking about it at all, go.

I bought my tickets night of and had great seats just behind the stage. I was also in the last row that got sold in the section so I was up rocking out the whole time. I don’t know what I would have done if I was sitting. After the show some dumb old broad said she thought it was ok but she really wanted to hear “Wonderful Tonight.” I said if I’m looking for a love song I’d take Little Wing over that mess any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

IMO: “Dear Mr.Fantasy” wasn’t the ideal encore. It felt too soft after Chris Stainton’s stunning solo at the end of “Cocaine”. Still, it was a great show.

Not sure why they dropped Double Trouble. I thought that was one of the best numbers at MSG. Looks solid though, will probably hit DC.

Great show, but the geriatric crowd sucked the energy from the room where I was sitting in section 123.

agreed. I happened to think Little Wing was the highlight of the show, my buddy thinks it was Voodoo Chile, especially for the fact that Winwood played on the original.
The Georgia on My Mind (Winwood solo) was fantastic, I didn’t think the Dear Mr. Fantasy ever really took off.
