Congrats to the Ryan Montbleau Band

In one of the closest votes since the 2000 Presidental Election, the Ryan Montbleau Band has eeked out a victory in the Vote For The Boat contest. The win gains the RMB a prized slot aboard Jam Cruise 8, which sets sail from Ft. Lauderdale on January 3. Ryan and his band join a smorgasbord of jam favorites aboard the Poesia including STS9, The Word, Zappa Plays Zappa, Galactic and the Dark Star Orchestra. A few cabins remain for what’s sure to be another stellar Jam Cruise experience.

In a classy move, the organizers of Jam Cruise have invited Josh Phillips – the front man of second place finishers Josh Phillips Folk Festival, on the boat as well to give him a chance to show cruisers his stuff. Hopefully that doesn’t create any Almost Famous-like moments for Phillips’ band mates. Meanwhile, the Ryan Montbleau Band take their never-ending tour to Greenfield, MA on Friday where they’ll perform at the Wormtown Festival.

  1. Yeesh Jam Cruise! All these “roots/folk/reggae/etc…” bands are BORING and unoriginal! Give us more to chose from. I hope Ryan and Josh are at the back of the boat!
