Away from the drum kit, Fishman pursued some projects in alternative energy, though after months of debate by his neighbors he scrapped his plan to build a wind tower at his home. Fish also joined the virtual marchers at stopglobalwarming.org.
Due to the nature of Fishman’s tour dates, I’m laying these out a bit differently than I did for the previous members. When it made sense, I have grouped his appearances with the same band together instead of having a straight chronological list.

Amidst mass speculation Trey would have a guest appearance at his TAB show in Utica, no one really knew for sure. During Tea Leaf Green’s set, i accidentally wandered into a catering room ice-level of the Utica Aud. I realized I had made a wrong turn and quickly turned around right into Jon Fishman. I looked down (i’m 6’3 and he’s 5’something) and he was filling his plate with boiled broccoli. He said hello and offered me a plate. Great intro to Fish. In addition to his ‘cymbal ting’ in mike’s/trey’s Divided Sky @ TAB in Utica 11-11-05, fish also rocked the hell out of a Boogie On during that show’s encore that has had me salivating til, well, March 6, 2009.

I think the thouchpants New York city show was at the bowery ballroom opening for Raq right? you have knitting factory i believe.
The New Year’s Eve show at the Ryman was really fun. I love that building, plus it was New Year’s Eve, and Fishman was there! What a great night.
He also played in May with Del McCoury at a festival in Maryland. Cumberland something…wish I could have gone.
