Last week, we were down to the final two contestants for our first annual Cover Wars March Madness tournament in which we pitted 16 previous CW winners against each other. In one corner we had Mr. Blotto’s cover of Paul Simon’s 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover and in the other corner we had Jerry Garcia & David Grisman’s take on Jimmy Cliff’s Sitting In Limbo.
And once again last week, the enthusiastic fanbase of Mr. Blotto flocked to HT to vote for their favorite band. We’d like to congratulate Mr. Blotto on their victory. We hope you enjoyed our first stab at a tournament and we’ll be back with new editions of Cover Wars every week starting next Tuesday.

the result is not a shock — mr. blotto is a very talented group of musicians who put their own spin on any song that they cover — they are capable of playing in numerous styles and do them all well!! — kudos to them and listen to them as well — you will not be disappointed
