David Lee Roth: Isolated Devil Noises
We just came across possibly the best thing on the Internet this year: an isolated vocal track of David Lee Roth screeching, yelling and singing Runnin’ With The Devil. You just gotta love his falsetto riffs and heady kazoo playing. But don’t take our word for it, listen for yourselves (that means you Sammy Hagar):

The jibberish he spouts at 1:30 and that noise he makes at 1:50 are just priceless, priceless entities. This track should be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
“David Lee Roth screeching, yelling and singing Runnin’ With The Devil”
singing? very witty, Scotty!!
Ever notice how Dave’s yowls and “Woo!”s are polyphonic, almost like Tuvan throat singers? This track has some great examples of it. The awesomeness factor is off the scale.
“Goddamnit baby I aint lyin’ to ya, I’m only gonna tell ya one TIIIME…awww yeah!”
I sure hope there’s more of this stuff lying around–perhaps some of it from the “Fair Warning” era?
There’s a lot of nothing on there … perhaps we have over-estimated Diamond Dave’s contribution to VH?
Fuck no; I didn’t think so either!!!
Can I get that as my ringtone?

I never knew what he said there until now. He says: Goddamit baby I aint lyin’ to ya, I’m only gonna tell you one time, ah yeah!
