Festival Survival Guide – Pt. 1: Be Prepared!

#4 – Clear, fun, vinyl shower curtains can be used as sides for your shade tent in case it rains. Unlike a normal tarp you can see outside! Use normal shower rings hung on a bungee cord stretched across your shade tent so you can open and close it as needed

#5Binder clips!!!!  The large size ones will help you attach things to your shade tent like the shower curtains for rain fly or tapestries for shade from sun.

#6Pool noodles cut into about 3’ length and placed in the corners of your pop-up shade tent will prevent puddles from forming in the corners.

#7 –  Glow tape is a better option for the guy wires of your tent. Unlike glow sticks they don’t need to be replaced multiple times over one weekend, as a few hours in the sun will charge them up for the night.

#8 – Instead of leaving your trash bag on the ground in a heap, you can use a pop-up container lined with a plastic  bag (don’t forget one for recycling as well!)

#9Shamwow! Have you seen Billy Mays suck up a spill on TV? Picture the bottom of your tent after a flood? See a resemblance?

#10 – For fun lighting that sets the mood better than a huge camping spotlight try the small solar lights that are made for walkways…there are some really fun options out there (as seen below)

#11 – These neat room organizers work great for keeping essentials up and off the wet and dirty ground.  Just don’t pack them too heavy as you don’t want to damage your pop up shade tent.

#12 – Print a map/schedule before you come. Yes, they have them but sometimes not enough and often they aren’t around when you need one. Try to hang one in a central place for your site (coated in plastic sheet protectors)

Don’t forget to check back in a few weeks for two more installments that will help you decide just what to pack and what you need to stay fed all weekend long!

  1. Some time before, I needed to buy a good car for my firm but I didn’t have enough money and couldn’t purchase something. Thank heaven my colleague suggested to try to take the loan at banks. Therefore, I acted that and used to be satisfied with my collateral loan.
