Finally: Phish Announces Festival 8
For the name of the eighth festival Phish will throw, the band has come up with about as uncreative name as it gets… Festival 8. Festival 8, the group’s first three-day festival, will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA on October 30 – November 1 during which time the band will perform eight sets.
Tickets for Festival 8 go onsale this upcoming Monday and will run $199 + a $1 Waterwheel donation + service charges. You’ll be allowed to camp with your car near the festival site for a $15 fee per vehicle. The Festival 8 website contains a FAQ which cleverly answers a number of questions you may have or never thought of. So, are you going to attend Festival 8?

Since numbers seems to be the “symbolism” behind this festival, I think Phish will cover Led Zeppelin IV(4). Halloween night will be their 4th set . . . just an idea! Either way – can’t wait!

does anyone think they will sellout in a week? i hope not bc my buddy wont have his cash till next week.. If not i cant wait till NYE in FLorida..

I for one think the name is kinda cool. Festivate? Festival-8? It’s not the most creative, but it will be a rockin good time I’m sure. See ya there!

I think that Festival 8 is a cool name. Here’s why: Not only are they going to play eight sets (2,3,2,+1 late night), this is also their 8th festival (1.Clifford Ball 2.The Great Went 3.The Lemonwheel 4.Oswego 5.Big Cypress 6.IT 7.Coventry 8.–> Festival 8
