Friday Mix Tape: Collection of Hot Tunes

We’ve finally made it to the end of the week, and that means it’s time for another Friday Mix Tape. I don’t exactly have a theme for this edition, so you’ll just have to trust that they are all powerful tunes that will get you pumped for the weekend.

Ireland’s Thin Lizzy kicks things off with their version of the traditional tune Whiskey In The Jar taken from a live show in Scotland. We head back to 1991for Blues Traveler’s Support Your Local Emperor from Travelers and Thieves. Next up is the Wood Brothers with the bluesy Stealin’ from Live at Tonic and Beck’s melancholy masterpiece Guess I’m Doin’ Fine. Beck passes the baton to Jeff Tweedy who offers an acoustic version of Misunderstood from the Letters For Santa living room show. Finally, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones lighten things up with an extremely horny Hope I Never Lose My Wallet of off Live From The Middle East.
