You can breathe again, it’s Friday. While you get your plans together for tonight, check out these items from Al Gore’s Interweb:

The Dolans get the Beacon…great another New York institution that family can fuck up beyond all recognition. If the Knicks and Rangers are any indication, the Beacon’s gonna pay way too much for inferior, overrated talent over the next decade and jack up prices to cover the costs. Sweet!
Say what you will about how the Dolan’s have run the Knicks and The Rangers but I think MSG, The Theater at MSG, and Radio City are all incredible venues that are really fun to see shows at. Perhaps the days of security guards shaking you down are over at the Beacon, and for that I thank the Dolans and say BRING IT ON. I love the Beacon, but its dirty.
As if I needed another reason to see Beck live.
I can only imagine…
Clap Hands -> Cellphone’s Dead -> Clap Hands -> Cellphone’s Dead Reprise
bring it Beck!
Sure the Beacon’s dirty, but that’s half the reason why you can take bong hits in the aisles at that place. Funny, but in all my experiences there, the security guards don’t care about
black peopleanything but catching a wicked Warren solo and making sure Bill Walton gets to sit where he wants.All that said, I’m behind the 2008 renovations and I love the other MSG venues. I just can’t stand The Dolans — I’m like Babu Bat and they’re like Jerry…they are bad men, very bad men.
