Giveaway: Perpetual Groove Returns to NYC

After catching Brock Butler’s ironman performance on Jam Cruise, I started to focus my attention on Perpetual Groove’s next NYC show on March 26th at the Bowery Ballroom. I want you to go too, so I reached out to the P Groove home office to set up a ticket giveaway. Not only has the band offered up a pair of tickets but being the fine southern gentlemen they are, the quartet has also thrown in autographed copies of their latest release, Heal, and Brock Butler’s recent solo debut, Lately Here Though.

Perpetual Groove spent 2009 breaking in new keyboard player John Hruby and recording Heal with producer/engineer David Barbe in their adopted hometown of Athens. Heal shows a major progression in the band’s sound since 2007’s livelovedie. The quartet’s new release doesn’t rely as much on the synthesizers and power rock, instead keeping things more simple by focusing on the bare beauty and emotion found in both the music and lyrics on Heal.  Now that P Groove has integrated Hruby and Heal’s indie-tinged songs further into the mix, the live shows are starting to reach new heights.

As I mentioned, we’ve got a P Groove prize package to giveaway that includes two tickets to their show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC on March 26th and autographed copies of Heal and Lately Here Though. To enter simply leave a comment below listing your favorite Perpetual Groove song, age and hometown. The contest starts now and ends on February 20th at 11:59 PM. Anyone leaving multiple comments will be disqualified. We’ll pick one comment at random to be the winner on February 21st. Good luck!

“I hope that you smile when you’re singing” something about this line speaks to me so much, seeing another jamfan at a show, whom you don’t know and you are connect eyes both smiling even tho you dont know one another you both are sharing the moment together possibly singing along to the words. It is what keeps me going to Jam shows and what I live for: Having music like Pgroove in my life gives me the ability to smile with both my ears and my heart. 🙂
