God Street Wednesdays: Lo’s Mixes

All’s been quiet on the God Street Wine front since July’s epic reunion, so we took the opportunity to take a little God Street Wednesdays hiatus in August. Speaking of the reunion gigs, we wanted to point you in the direction of two recordings of those shows lovingly mixed by GSW’s Lo Faber.

Lo’s remix of the July 10th show from the Gramercy Theater features seven channels of board subgroups (2x drums, bass, vox, keys, guitars, efx), two channels of board feed and two channels of audience feed recorded by Scott Bernstein (unrelated). It’s an unbelievable mix and should replace any other recording of this show you have.

For Lo’s remix of the July 17th show at Irving Plaza he enlisted the help of Ominous Seapods bassist Ted Marotta. The pair used ProTools to create a mix from an eight track board subgroup feed post fader, two track stereo board feed and a two track stereo audience feed via Scott Brown. The results couldn’t be better and again, this mix should replace any other recordings of this show you have in your collection.

Thanks to Eric Budke for recording the board feeds and to the band for making these exceptional recordings available to us for free.

  1. There should be another show up on archive.org in the next day or so….also….I believe the audience source on the 7/10 show is Scott Bernstein’s.

    Thanks for the coverage, Scott!!
