God Street Wine Returns Tonight For TRI Webcast + Into The Sea Video Premiere + Gramercy Ticket Giveaway
After 580 days since their last performance God Street Wine returns tonight for the first of six concerts the ’90s jammers will play by the time next Saturday rolls around. Bob Weir’s TRI Studios will host and broadcast this evening’s performance free-of-charge starting at 6:30PM PT. The members of GSW became friendly with Weir aboard Jam Cruise 9 and laid the groundwork for tonight’s show.
Ever since March we’ve been debuting video for God Street Wine’s 2010 reunion shows that were lovingly shot and edited by our friend and HT contributor Mike Wren. We started with Dirty Little Secret and subsequent posts, many of which have included an essay on the story behind the song from GSW guitarist Lo Faber, have featured Light My Candles, Weird Dream, Other Shore, Princess Henrietta, Who’s Driving, When She Go, Thirsty, 4th of July, Call It Love and Electrocute. This morning we debut the last clip – Into The Sea…
God Street Wine – Into The Sea

Headed to Cali for the shows right now! So stoked!!!
Get on the Train!!!!
Due to this website I started listening to God Street Wine and while I don’t know what my favorite song would be I’d love to see them to figure that out!
why would I like to check out GSW @ the Gramercy? because it’s been FAR TOO LONG since I had the pleasure of seeing them live, they simply kick ass live
favorite song is Ma Ma Ma Molly…….Never had the chance to see them live…make my dream come true!
I’ll always remember this song as bittersweet. We drive into NYC to see them play their first reunion together at the Wetlands farewell show on 9/3/2001. It was getting late and I had to work the next day and I still remember walking out of that place with this song, one of my favorites, still being played. I also remember driving away from the city in the back seat of the car looking through the rear windshield, watching the twin towers until they were no longer on the horizon, not knowing that less than a week later they wouldn’t be standing any longer…
Oh whoa whoa whoa. I’m so glad that I close my eyes. Oh whoa whoa whoa. Just waiting for the tide to rise.
my favorite song is Into the Sea.
I played the song to my son when he was born and now, at age 8 1/2, one of his favorite bands is GSW and Into the Sea is his favorite song. He knows all the words and loves to go to sleep to the song.
Never has a band meant more to the rearing of my child than GSW.
Thank you for everything and now….even more. He can actually see you LIVE!!!!
The tune I’m picking for this mini run of shows will be a hopeful bust out for the Saturday gig.
This Fine Town…it’s an oldie but goodie.
GSW is everything that is good about music. The Lo and Aaron shows were fun but shows at the Grammercy are ragers. Goodnight Gretchen
