Gov’t Mule use Halloween as an excuse to let loose, covering music from artists like Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Pink Floyd. This year, the Warren Haynes-fronted band will pay tribute to The Doors with a pair of concerts honoring their music (and guest appearances by guitarist Robby Krieger).
According to ABC News Radio, Krieger is set to appear with the band at two California shows (October 30th at L.A.’s Fonda Theatre and Halloween night at Oakland’s Fox Theater).
Haynes and company released the excellent, collaboration-heavy Shout!, their tenth studio LP (and first in four years) back in September. That album featured collaborations with artists like Jim James, Elvis Costello, and Steve Winwood.
