Last May the Disco Biscuits descended upon Colorado for their third annual Bisco Inferno weekend. The jamtronica pioneers kicked off the action on the 26th and 27th with a pair of performances at Denver’s Ogden Theatre before heading to the world-renowned Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a headlining set on the 28th. All three complete performances will be available on DVD, Blu-Ray and in a variety of downloadable formats on January 31 and we’re giving away a copy a day to a lucky reader each day this week.
For this video release, the Disco Biscuits have teamed up with TourGigs, who have provided fans a full range of purchase options including DVD ($25 per show), Blu-Ray ($30 per show), 480p Standard Definition video files ($15 per show), 1080p High Definition video files ($22 per show) and 1080p “Ultra Quality” video files ($30 per show). There’s a 15% discount for those who buy the same format of all three shows.
As part of our Everybody Wins When We Plug Something And In Return They Offer Us Free Shit To Give Away program, we’re teaming up with the band and TourGigs to premiere video of one full song each day from this release and we’re also giving away a copy of all three shows in DVD or Blu-Ray format. Anything from Haymaker ’02.
My favorite Disco Biscuits jam of all time was the 3/1/2008 “Pi” jam. Why? I could say that it was musically brilliant (which it was), or mind-bendingly dark and exploratory, but I will always remember this jam because at the peak of the jam, in the sweaty, murky heat of the Starland Ballroom, I was hit in the face with a pie by Allen Aucoin. Each member of the band threw a pie into the crowd, and I was plastered on the right side of my face and shoulder with some serious pie. Instead of running to the bathroom, I scooped the pie into my mouth and chowed down, and then proceeded to get down. Now that’s devotion.
Mexico on my mind, Holidaze from last year. Spraypaint>Helicopters>IMan>Spraypaint was just being played.
my favorite jam ever was 12/31/04 Frog Legs->Crickets. no explanation needed.
Favorite jam of 2011, becuase I can’t pick one all time is Lunar>Story from Camp Bisco!
House Dog Party Favor > Cyclone from 11.3.06. Hearing this jam changed me from a hater to a lover within minutes. They have been my favorite band ever since.
6/27/09 Orch Theme > Astronaut (Suspended In The Air)
Incredible.
The entire first set of Saturday night at Camp 8, but mostly Caves of the East > Park Ave. > Caterpillar > And The Ladies Were The Rest Of The Night
Str8 Fire
Set 3, new years 2010, Dribble > Crickets(mid) > HDPF
My favorite jam was probably 5/27/07 Rock n’ Roll Fantasy. Speaks for itself!
MY favorite jam of all time is Spraypaint> Great Abyss> ladies because it was first off the greatest abyss of all time and second because it was at the fox. Nuff said.
8.28.11
Bombs > Neck Romancer, Highwire
Bombs was just bomb! then, Neck Romancer!! no words needed for that. then to close things out with highwire, was a great choice. the crowd really dug the dB’s and the band was digging the feel.
favorite biscuit jam is spacebird > abraxas > spacebird from 11/03/07, the 10 minutes before abraxas in particular. I don’t know how to describe it, it’s just that dark and dirty trance music you want to hear at a tDB show. then after abraxas they bring it all back with a massive spacebird ending. it’s hard to pick one jam but this one is definitely top tier and one I can always go back and listen to and still find things that amaze me. so hit me up with that blu ray so I can see my dance moves in high def!
Favorite jam? 9/1/10 set 2.
Naming a favorite jam is tough, especially with this band.
Favorite jam from a show I’ve been to?
12/28/08-crix jam. This is just extremely magical, and wraps up what the biscuits are all about in that one jam.
Close second would be the run like hell from church of love and music 09.
My favorite biscuits jam is the frog legs from 12-31-04
also a real big fan of the HAB>Waves from 6-10-10. Been a loyal biscuits fan since 99. First show was 10-30-99 Somerville theater. Really would love a free DVD…
thanks

vassillios>HAb>gangster>iman>HAB
My favorite Biscuits jam of all time is the 2nd jam of Save the Robots in the apocalyptic flood of Jam on the River 07. It seemed almost as if the Gods were building up the storm as the jam progressed, and with the lights shut down and the stage blowing apart, the band literally seemed like statues, standing perfectly in place, playing their instruments to what appeared to be the end of all things. For anyone present, the memory of that event will never die, and the jam always brings it back in crystal clarity.
9/10/99 MEMPHIS>Shem Rah
Pure insanity with the band locking in like only they could in fall 99.
2002-03-08 Triumph > Helicopters from the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood. The entire show is straight fire but that jam is something else.
10-23-07
Ladies>Gangster>Munchkin>Abraxas>Ladies
Does it for me every time…..
10/04/02 triumph>crystal ball
My favorite Disco Biscuits jam would have to be the entire set for 02-08-09 Dallas Tx. This was the night I became a Biscuits fan for life. I went to the show to see Govt Mule and was blown away by the Biscuits performance to the point where I was bored to tears by the Govt Mule performance (still love the mule though). Funny thing was that we were walking by the tour buses on the way into the House Of Blues and I was talking about the Disco Biscuits and some guy stepped off the bus (i guess because he heard me) and i just looked at him said “how’s it going man” and kept walking only to see a little while later it was Brownie (I had no idea what they looked like at the time, who knows probably would have gotten an autograph). I went out the next day and bought the Progressions DVD and we watch it at least once a week at band practice. Keep Jamming, looking forward to finally getting some new DVD’s (purchased or free depending on if I win). And hurry up and come back to Dallas!!!!!
11/7/03 Jigsaw Earth
Camp Bisco 5 on Hunter Mountain- The jam out of Inverted Great Abyss back into Spraypaint was unreal. Spraypaint Victory was so triumphant, I’ll never forget how special that night was. Beauty Biscuits..

La Pasion de Massi Es el rriorecdo de D11os con 14 estaciones, que en realidad no eran mas que 14 casas en las que massi le dio massita a 14 esposas e hijas de herejes.
Really hard to have just one favorite tDB jam.

Mindless> Hot Air> Dribble> Balloon from 6/22/06 Stone Pony.
Spaga 3/9/07
9-1-00 mindless dribble

Thanks for the contest! My favorite Disco Biscuits jam was from Eugene, OR on Halloween, Set 2.
The Disco Biscuits jammed on a theme from Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. They had the movie playing behind them and got into some wild jams!
Relix wrote about this show with the following: “While the Disco Biscuits haven’t donned a music costume, per se, Halloween 2001 gave the band the opportunity to perform a themed set. Albeit, it was a jammed out and highly improvised take on Walt Disney’s score from Alice in Wonderland, but it was an hour and fifteen minute tour down through the rabbit hole.
10/31/01 Woodmen of the World Hall, Eugene, OR
DJ Mauricio opened and played setbreak; stage filled with Halloween decorations
Set I: Funeral March Of A Marionette, Nughuffer> Linus And Lucy, Voices Insane, Radiator> Reactor1> Nughuffer
Set II: Alice in Wonderland Jam
(spontaneous score to Walt Disney’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ which was being shown simultaneously)
Encore: And The Ladies Were The Rest Of The Night, Munchkin Invasion
12/31/09 the infamous New Years Medley Jam!! I was blown away by this entire show. Went to the show that night with a ton of friends who all decided to join in the fun. tDB outplayed us and that is not easily done (meaning we were worn the F out by the time that show ended – faces thoroughly melted). The NYE Jam was the pinnacle of the run/night. The vibe, crowd, band everything make it my fav. jam.
easy! my first big sequence: I-Man > Buddha > Run Like Hell (w/ Murph on keys) at the first Rothbury, 7/2/07
12/31/02 RLH>Astronaut>Rock Candy, specifically the Astronaut jam
Every show is a great time, do not make me pick just one
12/30/09 Set2 • Nokia Theatre • New York , NY
Run Like Hell > The Great Abyss > Digital Buddha > Lunar Pursuit > Orch Theme > Run Like Hell
This was so hot. But agree with Mike – every show is a great time.
lunar pursuit 2007/08/30 Chameleon Club
My first tDB show blew my mind! The Bluebird night club in Bloomington, IN 10/27/00. I had no clue what I was getting into! The I-man>Run Like Hell>I-man in the first set made me a fan for life!!
I think you also have a rgtoenicion threshold’. As soon something enters your world and consciousness it then has meaning to you and you start to recognise it rather than ignoring it as background noise much like your red posty bands. By next week I will have found out who Justin Beiber is seeing’ and know some of his songs, thanks Bert.
