As hard as it is to believe, Willie Nelson will turn 80 on April 30th. The legendary country artist never slows down and continues to tour and release new music on a regular basis. Earlier this week Nelson released Let’s Face The Music And Dance on Sony Legacy – a collection of American standards and country classics, Irving Berlin and Carl Perkins, Django Reinhart as well as Willie-penned originals. As such Willie Nelson has been Legacy Recordings Artist of the Month for April.
There’s a campaign to round up birthday messages for Willie that will be given to him on the 30th for his 80th birthday. Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Neil Young have shared their messages, you can share yours at the Willie Birthday website.
As part of our Everybody Wins When We Plug Something And In Return They Offer Us Free Shit To Give Away program, we’ve got a Willie Nelson Prize Pack to give away.
