All these comments are interesting about Marc. He is a super cool guy and extremely talented. Anyone who hears him play in person can tell you how captivating his music is.

Heh, I have been in this guys shoes…only difference is the bands I was in never went anywhere. I’m in one now that does fairly well, but the lead guys in the band do get pissy a lot. I have quit the band before because of it. 5 years later they still need a bassist. I rejoin, they now take my opinion in consideration. I catch grief like Trey gives all the time. I think once the $$ starts rolling in, that shit stops unless someone can’t make the initiative to be there. He was at the right place, wrong time. It’s a bitch dealing with these pre-maddona attitudes, especially when its before anything big happens!

A good band is just like a good business. You have to get rid of dead weight if you want to survive. Sounds like Trey was ballsy enough to do what needed to be done.

Maybe Trey thought Daubert was a fuck up and was fed up. Sounds like he WAS a fuck up at the time. I don’t blame Trey for booting him. If Trey was domineering in the band, it was apparently for good reason and netted a good result since we’re all sitting here talking about it 25 years later.
