HT Giveaway: Jomeokee Music & Arts Festival

From September 14 – 16 a vast array of jam, bluegrass and Americana acts including HT faves The Del McCoury Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, the Jimmy Herring Band, Lettuce, Keller Williams with The Travelin’ McCourys and Patterson Hood & The Downtown Rumblers will descend upon the Jomeokee Campground in Pinnacle, North Carolina for the inaugural Jomeokee Music & Arts Festival.

This family festival takes place in a natural amphitheater within the campgrounds, where a stunning view of Pilot Mountain creates a picturesque background for two side-by-side stages showcasing alternating sets. Jomeokee will host two special sets: a bluegrass all-star jam featuring members of Del McCoury Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, The String Cheese Incident, Leftover Salmon, Acoustic Syndicate and more as well as special Everyone Orchestra performance. Matt Butler has put together an impressive lineup for Jomeokee that includes Jimmy Herring, Melvin Seals, Jennifer Hartswick, Michael Kang, Al Schnier, Vinnie Amico, George Porter Jr. and Jeff Sipe. General admission and VIP passes are available through Jomeokee’s EventBrite page.

  1. I would love to see YMSB (of course), Lettuce (duh), but mainly get a chance to see the Jimmy Herring Band for the first time would be a real treat. The EO Funk/Jam set looks like it’s going to be a great time on stage!!

  2. I’ve seen String Cheese Incident once this past Fall in Pittsburgh, and at the inception of this festival, I think their set has the most likelihood for mass-sat-ins w/ all different acts at Jomeokee. Del for sure, as well as the Yonder and Salmon folks. Definitely could see some Jimmy Herring, Jen Hartswick or George Porter sit-ins easily, too. This is why SCI’s spot at this festival has me most excited.

  3. In talking with one of the promoters, I have heard a rumor of a Larry Keel & Jimmy Herring workshop set, so yeah that we be the most amazing guitar combination to witness in person.

  4. without question I would be most stoked to see Leftover Salmon live in concert again, it’s been QUITE some time since I last saw them…I’d love a chance to see them again, perhaps a lil’ Pasta on the Mountain is in order!

  5. I have been trying to see Lettuce for a while now and would love to see them! As well as the first lineup of Everyone Orchestra because I love their new album!!

  6. I would definitely be looking forward to seeing the all star bluegrass band. Leftover, cheese, and del band all at once!!! For real, a jam not to miss!!!!!

  7. I’m going to go with the CHEESE! String Cheese Incident Saw them in Asheville last winter, definitely want to again!

  8. The BLUEGRASS ALL STAR JAM sounds like it will be one of the most incredible All-Star Jams in festival history!!

  9. Definitely looking to see yonder mountain string. Have been listening to their tunes fur awhile and have yet to see them. Let’s do this!!!!

  10. How the magnets are handled can also affect how well they work. For instance, if the subjected to shock, stress, or intense vibration, they may become damaged or chipped. This is an especially strong threat for Earth Magnets that are made from brittle alloys.
