  1. 8-3-91 Amy Skelton’s Farm, the last of the early free festivals. Three sets of love with the Dude of Life too. Keepin it old school.

  2. I still cannot believe that they haven’t released 7/11/2000 Deer Creek. The show won a Jammy! That must be the next release.

  3. This is a no-brainer, considering it will be the ten year anniversary in three short months. A CD/DVD box release of the complete Big Cypress shows, New Year’s 1999.

  4. You’re gonna make me choose between hearing a LivePhish version of a 11/28/94 Bozeman Tweezer and LivePhish version of a 12/29/94 Providence Bowie? That’s just not fair! OK. I’ll vote for Bozeman.

  5. I’m going to go against the flow and say 2009-08-11 Chicago, IL. I just love all the Page solos from that show. Plus it was my first, so guess I’m biased.

  6. I agree with the others here… BIG CYPRESS BOX SET!!! I would love to be able to relive that experience via the magic of digital video and audio.

  7. I will pick my favorite “audience-participation” show and say 5/27/1994 – Warfield Theater, San Francisco. Macaroni and cheese solos (“Shake your macaroni!”) and an opera singer would make for a great and memorable archival release.

  8. I can’t believe I’m writing this because I was not a fan of Phish 2.0, but the new years run in ’94 from Miami would be sweet as an archival release, especially the second night.

  9. 8/8/98 Merriweather Post – 1st time played Sweet Jane & Saabotage. The sickest Sneakin Sally Through the Alley funk bomb ever!!!

  10. 12/11/97 War Memorial, Rochester, NY
I feel like it was one big jam. Some of the show was used in Bittersweet Motel. The entire 2nd set was great, especially: Drowned> Roses are Free2> Big Black Furry Creature from Mars.

  11. 9/29/99 Memphish – 2001 may be the best they ever played, and the Mike’s> Catapult> Mike’s> Kung> Mike’s> I Didn’t Know > Weekapaug features some ferocious start-stop jamming.

  12. There has never been an official release from the Summer ’95 tour. My pick is 6/26/95 SPAC for the best overall show from that summer.

  13. I know this will probably the most popular choice but I do not care. Everyone I think will agree that Big Cypress should be released in its entirety. It was by far the pinnacle of their career at that point, the icing on the cake. In fact, they should have taken their hiatus after it and nobody would have complained.

  14. I’d love to see the 6/28-29/00 shows from PNC. Great bust-outs (If I Could and Walk Away) and pretty sweet jams both nights (Drowned>Rock N Roll, Gin, and the whole 2nd set from the 29th). Love my auds but would happily trade-up for a SBD.

  15. Any of the festivals need to be released officially. I know we have some dvds out there, and the boots are fantastic, but we need the fests officially

  16. I would love to hear the Spring ’92 Tour openers from Portsmouth, NH (3/6 & 3/7). A total of 9 brand-new songs, the introduction of the Secret Language, and the nastiest Brother I have ever heard make this two-night run a definitive example of the ridiculous heat of early ’92.

  17. Of course we need Cypress, in DVD and CD’s. Heck we need all the Festivals remastered, but if I had to pick one.

    12-11-99

Hood Opener first since like 83 or something, the energy in the room was fantastic.

  18. i’d like to see dvd’s from the radio city music hall shows– 5/21/00 and 5/22/00– released, so i can re-live kuroda playing with the house lights during SOAM.

  19. They should release the 1997, 1998 & 1999 Gorge runs as a box set. All 6 fantastic nights. With a DVD!

That 98 set of 2001->Mikes->weekapaug is epic.

  20. I’d like them to release 8/9/98, Virginia Beach. Great show and Terrapin encore to commemorate the third anniversary of Jerry’s passing…and it was my second show.

  21. big cypress is obviously the popular choice, but i’m gonna go NYE 93, the energy at that show is great and tom marshall makes a special appearance during antelope, love it..

  22. 8/8/98 Merriweather Post Pavilion, definitely, that show is sick. It’s a better show overall than 8/9/98, but they should throw in the Terrapin from that show as filler.

  23. 11/18/96 Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, TN – It was my first Phish show. I’ve never heard a recording of it but I would love to because I can barely remember the music… I just remember loving it: the music, the atmospher, everything.

  24. I haven’t seen a million shows like most phans, so I have to go with what I know: Gorge 08/07/09. Best live concert I’ve ever been to, followed by Gorge 08/08/09.

  25. Great question…instantly one show comes to mind,
12-29-95 worcester, ma. A great first set that featured a my friend opener, a middle of the set disease, and a great fluffhead. But the second set was historic…bathtub> real me> bathtub was one of the most electric sequences I’ve ever heard. Also, a great bass duel leading into Lagrange was unforgettable. I still get goosebumps from this show.

  26. The band should without a doubt release 6/20/95, Blossom Music Center. The Audience recordings that exist of this show are sub-par, and the whole show is top notch from beginning to end. A truly under-appreciated and little know gem from the summer ’95 tour!

  27. The first show I ever went to, of course! 10-06-1990 – opening for Blues Traveler at the Capital Theater in Portchester, NY 10-06-1990

  28. without a doubt, 7/17/98 at the Gorge. an ethereal 25-minute 2001 opens the second set, into 31 minutes of Mike’s Groove, but really, both sets are pure spacefunk fire, with extended jams on Divided Sky, Gumbo and even Character Zero.

  29. Anything from the 92-93 New Years run. 12/30 in Springfield was my first show and would be a great choice. I also like the Wetland show from 6/9/90, it has the greatest Harpua ever!

  30. 07-24-99 Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI
Awesome show. open with fluff and fluff’s travels, Avenu Malkenu > tmwsiy. plus the encore was sick. camel walk and alumni blues!!!

  31. wolf mountain park city utah 96′ my first show….. AMAZING! 2 rainbows over the stage… page played somwhere over the rainbow on theremin…. awesome show!

  32. either one of the amsterdam shows in 97 is ok by me…
That is 97/07/01-02. Very intimate shows with spacy jams and funny banters…

  33. Anything from Fall Tour ’99, as the band has only released one full soundboard from all of 1999! Hard to choose one, but 9/18/99 with the best Boogie On jam EVER would be SICK!

  34. 12/13/99 providence civic center – this show was kick ass – had 3rd row seats, and they totally melted my face that night

  35. 12/31/93 – even though there are A+ copies already available, there’s no excuse for this not to be an official release.

  36. i’ll go with something unreleased, new to me, it’s always exciting listening to a show that you’ve never heard or heard of

  37. Phish, Red Rocks, 8-4 through 8-7 1996. I thought they were amazing shows…but maybe that was just the mushrooms talking.

  38. Definitely 09.24.99 – Austin, Texas show. Still one of my favorite shows I’ve seen. Second set opener ‘Peaches en Regalia’ / closed with ‘Misty Mountain Hop’ / encored with ‘Boogie..’ AND ‘Chalkdust’! Amazing.

  39. I would say they should release 7.31.98 Columbus OH

The Ya Mar is great, and the Cities needs to be heard by all. It is the best Cities played, and yes better than the mind melting Cities of Deer Creek the summer before.

Also the Eminece front tease in Free in the second set it amazing.

Sleeper pick, but great example of a killer phish show in some random Midwest city

  40. one show worthy of livephish release is 7.15.99 PNC bank arts center. the first set is very very strong – the YEM is a fan favorite – but it’s the Melt during second set that begs for soundboard treatment. including kung, 35 minutes of sheer insanity

  41. They should give 7/23/97 the Super Treatment, and get it sounding as good as NYE 95 and ALO. Great show from start to finish.

  42. The gig they played with Phil Lesh as guest bassist when they were on the trampolines while playing-I’m a HUGE Deadhead, and I love Phish-the carriers of the jam torch after Garcia crossed over in 95′!

  43. 7/1/1998 the Grey Hall, Copenhagen. My God this was the night the Moma Dance became the absolute shiznizzle. Thats all that need be said.

  44. 3.3.90 The Wetlands Preserve, New York, NY
-best mike’s groove in my opinion
-random appearance by john popper during “my sweet one”
-before “dinner and a movie” this lady talks about upcoming acts at the venue one of which, Dread Zepplin, is a Raggae Zep Cover band fronted by a elvis impersonator

  45. 12/9/1995 in Albany, NY. I drove the whole way there and back from Oneonta, NY in blizzard conditions. It was worth it. We lost our minds at that show!

  46. I know i should go with an older show but I had such a great time & the sets were awesome at Alpine this year I would enjoy seeing either one released

  47. 7-23-97 Atlanta, GA. A solid first set but it is set 2 that blew my mind. Arguably the best Ghost ever. YEM> Rocky Mtn Way by Joe Walsh. Nuts. Hands down the best set 2 I have witnessed.

  48. The Gorge shows in 2003 were seminal shows in my love of Phish, particularly the second night- 7/13/03. Love the Scents and Subtle Sounds and the electric bagpipe stuff mixed into the Halley’s and Guyute. Every time I listen to it, I remember the crushing sunset and winds whipping through the area.

  49. Phish should release 12-9-95 from the Knick. Famous for the outstanding YEM, the shows offers so much tight, solid playing throughout.

  50. I think they should release 8-2-93 from Tampa. It is the perfect show to capture the energy of Phish back in the day.

  51. Las Vegas 9/29/00. No where near their best show in my opinion, but there are lots of great favorites in there (Bathtub, Character Zer0, Moma Dance, 2001, Fluffhead, the list goes on and on), plus the Kid rock stuff at the end (ESPECIALLY rapper’s delight) is so fun to listen to!

  52. Don’t know the exact date since I am not a deadhead (sorry!), but the show where they played “Terrapin Station” as the encore in VA Beach on the 3rd anniversary of Jerry’s death. Great show and the fans went ape%$^@ for the closer.

  53. I would love to see a Big Cypress release, DVD, boxset, the works. One of the most insane Phish experiences ever!

  54. I’d like to see something from 2003 fall tour make the LP ranks… perhaps 02/26/03 or 02/28/03? I still have that Worcester Moma on repeat…

  55. How about every 80s & 90s bootleg I had on tape that no longer plays or is missing- not that I would have a way to play them now.

  56. I would love to get a show from the Fall Tour ’97 or 1998. Any show that rivals the psychedelic funk of my all time favorite, 11/17/97, would be greatly appreciated. Those were special years in my opinion and would love to hear some more of that milky way music.

  57. I would love to see Hampton 11-22-97. The Halley’s contains one of the best jams ever, nice Black Eyed Katy out of Twezzer and a fun rocking first set.

  58. 6/26/95 – Awesome show. Great first set including a MFMF opener with a nice Gin, Sloth, Possum, Tela

Awesome DWD with exploritory jamming and amazing YEM and Antelope

  59. BIG CYPRESS MUST BE RELEASED AS THE NEXT LIVE PHISH!!! EVERYTHING FROM BOTH NIGHTS MUST BE RELEASED AND I MIGHT ACTUALLY BUY IT!!!

  60. 6/24/94 should definitely be released. I’m biased because it was my first show but the setlist is ridiculous. We’ve already a couple tracks as filler from the Columbus show. Give me the real deal!

  61. 7-23-97
My fisrt show and a spectacular one it was;second set Ghost opener was definately top 3 ever, Rocky Mountain Way, YEM and more!

  62. Big Cypress, easy. Audio for sure. But I wonder about the video..dancing in the everglades that night I thought the lights stopped working durning the overnight set and Kuroda confirmed this in an interview not too long ago. I wonder if that will effect their decision on a DVD?

  63. 12/07/1997 Dayton Ohio. Aside from the fact the show contained the only Psycho Killer ever played until Hartford ’09, this show kicks ass, top to bottom.

  64. BIG BIRCH – 7/13/94 – The band was on fire this night when most people went to see the Dead @ the troubled Highgate, VT show. The first set rocked and the 2nd set was just ridiculous; one of the best Possums ever, Wil-vern and the 2nd Tweezer-fest!

  65. I hope they release the Lemonwheel sets on Live Phish – unless, of course, they release a DVD as they did for the Clifford Ball. That would also be acceptable 😉

  66. Wow, this is a tough one! I think I have to go with a show from ’97 where cowphunk/spacephunk was taken to new levels: 12/13/97… Bring the DUDE!!!

  67. Not exactly a “show”, per se, but I’d love to see a 2-disc collection of band-picked (with commentary in the notes) moments from IT.

  68. So hard to pick one! I guess I have to go with my second show, 6/17/94 at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI. Run OJ, run!

  69. Salt Lake, Utah 11/2/1998- this was the first year i chose to skip UT between Vegas and RR and Phish plays Dark Side of the Moon. I have never been able to listen to it still to this day, but if you release it I will listen.

  70. The Nov 29, 1997 Worcester show with the ~1hr Runaway Jim second set opener should be the next archived release on LivePhish. It features a rare Buffalo Bill encore.

  71. Why it has not been released as yet is beyond me, but BIG CYPRESS is the ultimate Phish and deserves to be a live release!!!

  72. Wednesday, July 9, 1997
Le Transbordeur, Lyon/Villeurbanne, France with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. I used to play this tape out till it died. I love the improv in the show and I think others need to hear it!

  73. Big Cypress is the choice, I have played the bootleg to death and I am sure that the released copy would be a better copy than the audience versions that are floating around.

  74. 12/31/98 MSG. When they stepped on the stage, and opened with 1999, the crowd went absolutely nuts. i knew from that moment we were in for not only a outstanding, but a special experience. Phish delivered all 4 nights of the run, but new years eve was stellar. It would nice to share it with everyone.

  75. 4/15/94…Beacon Theater NYC…04-15-94 The Beacon Theater, New York, NY w/ the Giant Country Horns!

1: Llama, Guelah Papyrus, Paul and Silas, Harry Hood, Wilson-> Chalk Dust Torture, Bouncing Around the Room, It’s Ice, Down With Disease

    2: Maze, If I Could, Oh Kee Pa Ceremony-> Suzy Greenberg*-> The Landlady*#, Julius*, Wolfman’s Brother*-> Alumni Blues*-> I Wanna Be Like You*, Cavern*^

    E: Magilla*, Amazing Grace

  76. Definitely have to agree with the others who said the Y2K Big Cypress — it’s begging for a release, especially if the band returns there for another show, which is a rumor I’ve heard. Thanks!

  77. I gotta go with 12/9/95 in Albany just so everyone out there can experience the awesomeness of that YEM. Best single Phish song I have ever heard them play.

  78. I’ll stay away from Cypress as i think it will be released. I’ll go with 8/2/97 as there are great audience versions but would love to a perfectly mixed soundboard. The 1st set could be considered a best ever. Top versions of Ghost,Theme,Wolfmans,Split.

  79. For its next archival release, Phish should choose 10/11/95, “Live in concert”. It was a perfect night in the Desert just South of Phoenix, great “live in concert” stage banter, and who can forget the %sky to the desert sunset (will not come out on audio, I realize).

    for reference:
10/11/95 Compton Terrace Amphitheatre, Tempe, AZ
Set I: Stash, Old Home Place, Cavern, The Divided Sky, If I Could, The Fog That Surrounds, Acoustic Army, Julius, Sample in a Jar
Set II: Possum> Bathtub Gin, Mound, Mike’s Song> McGrupp and the Watchful Hosemasters> Weekapaug Groove> Llama, Suzy Greenberg> Crossroads1, Hello My Baby, A Day in the Life
    Encore: Chalkdust Torture

1 First time since 5/8/93 or 196 shows

  80. Noblesville, IN 6/19/09

Set 1: Backwards Down The Number Line, AC/DC Bag, Limb By Limb, Moma Dance, Water In The Sky, Split Open and Melt, Lawn Boy, The Wedge, Stealing Time From The Faulty Plan, The Connection, Ocelot, Fluffhead

    —Page Announcement & Storm Delay—

Set 2: A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing > Drowned > Twist, Let Me Lie, Tweezer > 2001 > Suzy Greenberg, Possum

    Encore: Sleeping Monkey, Tweezer Reprise

  81. I’m not sure what is on this release but they should definitely release their Bonnaroo set. The set they performed on Sunday at the festival with Bruce Springsteen. I was there with my mom. I know that sounds weird but my mom is a huge Bruce fan and I’m into Phish so we both thought it was so cool seeing them jam together.
