[...] My first Jam Cruise took place in January 2010 and believe it or not I was a bit worried that by Day Three I’d want to jump overboard. I had this image in my head of schwilled out wooks and terrible jams filling the boat. Reality was a completely different story as within an hour of boarding the MSC Poesia I realized that I’d entered a musical and social utopia. I had so much in common with everyone I met and one person was nicer than the next. Musically, I was blown away by most acts and truly appreciated all of the interaction between bands. When I walked off the boat I was a changed man. Jam Cruise had brought out the best in me and for days afterwards I walked around NYC introducing myself to random people and caught as much music as I possibly could. [...]

Scott,
Dweezil was actually "jumped" by some crazy ass woman on the boat...that's why he opted for the security detail afterwards...the moment was intense enough that he prefered to stay away from folks for the remainder of the cruise.
DZ always makes himself available for fans after a show and will sign stuff & take photos with you no problem... but when someone's main goal is to get as fucked up as possible and then try to "engage" a performer in an aggressive way... well that's another story altogether

ScottyB~
Reading Reviews after shows is one of my favorite things when I am sad that the shows are over, but having the priveledge of experiencing a lot of this music with you and this adventure only makes your reviews even more special. I remember saying on day 3 that you were like a breath of fresh air that would breeze thru awesometown or the theatre! Having you as a flower girl was an honor. So glad you got your Diamonds on the souls... I got my Queen Bee, Steve got his Naive Melody it's as if Jamcruise is a compilation of everyone's favorite songs. As Brock says "I hope you smile while your singing" the smile lasts all year! Looking forard to reading more of your reviews and seeing you real soon! Awesome write up from the awesometown breath of fresh air.

Nice work on the journal.. This was my second cruise, and it was great to see the joy in the eyes of the first-timers.. it's an experience like none other, hard to do justice with words, but you've done a great job.
