What difference does it make who was on stage?! Who you be pissed off if it was your favorite band on stage?! (Or maybe you’re just into that sort of thing.) That they are a tribute band makes absolutely NO difference. No music fan of ANY band should be subjected to that indignation. Let’s not forget there’s a Glenn Miller Orchestra and a Tommy Dorsey Orchestra still performing tributes. GFY.

Honestly we are talking about a Grateful Dead cover band. This band makes a living by trying to imitate a concert that has already taken place. That is a joke. Anybody who attends a dark star show deserves to be pissed on….the man should have pissed on the band.

this dude, seriously, was at the Cornell 30th anniversary show in Ithaca, May of 2007. Honestly. a few of my friends and I have talked about seeing him and even chatting with him in the ‘smoking area’……….Imagine a press statement where Trey or Jerry came out and singled YOU out to say, ‘don’t come to my shows anymore.’…Damn, this had to be a tough 2 days for this dude…

I can’t help but laugh at this story. The image of someone pissing off the 9:30 Club balcony is just too much to take seriously. If you’ve ever been there, it’s not a big place. Holds about 1200 I think, and the balcony is very shallow and wraps around 3/4 of the venue. He must have been SO conspicuous.

But then I read his apology and now I feel bad for laughing… kind of ;)

As an attendee at the concert, I’m outraged that this guy is allowed to hold public office. I feel for anyone whose night was undoubtedly ruined by this asshole. Steve, find a new band to follow buddy, you’re no longer welcome in this community.
