Land of Confusion: Drive-By Voters
We tend to stay away from politics at HT, but with the presidential election rapidly approaching we thought it was finally time to jump into the fray. Let’s welcome Jennifer Kirk who will provide a weekly column discussing politics and music. Here’s Jennifer’s first column, which is about her experience with HeadCount:
Since 2004, I have been involved with HeadCount. HeadCount is a non-partisan, non-profit organization thatâs primary purpose is to register

There is a reason that I have been involved with HeadCount so long — passion. Not the passion I possess (though it is required to work the long shifts at Bonnaroo in June) but the passion and excitement that I see in the faces of the people that we register. Itâs an exciting feeling to empower these people to make their voices heard; not just in Tennessee but all across the country.

Welcome aboard Jennifer! Great stuff.
Keep up the great work, excellent pics. Miss you.

is that he way all rock shows are these days? is everybody just zombied out from staring into computer screens all day? i don’t get it.
I enjoyed reading your article. Keep up the good work!
Great job as usual Jen. And Gleam, that must have been an aberration at the NYC show. There’s been no loss of rowdiness at the Rock Shows in the south.
Great article, Jennifer. Look forward to reading more! Know they will all be awesome.
