Langerado‘s long been our favorite multi-day music festival. It’s more than manageable in terms of both size and scope, it takes place well within civilization, and it never forgot its roots, still catering to jamband fans while reaching out to a broader audience (hey, as long as there are tanks, brah). If it ain’t broke, right?

Langerado

But draw the shutters, close the shades: Langerado organizers are going for the gusto and moving the festival to a new home (they’re also adding a fourth day). Beginning March 6th and ending on the 9th, the former Phish millennium celebration grounds will host the 6th Annual Langerado festival.

I’m not quite sure how to feel about this — surely it’s a positive development, but there goes the Mid-Level Festival that felt so…so comfortable. We wish the organizers a bit of luck with the increased logistics and send them this important note about remembering who got them there. The initial artist announcement comes November 8th, while tickets go on sale the following week.

What say you? Like the change? Bigger means better? Vegoose redux? If you’re reading this post and you have an opinion, we want to hear it. Open up.
