This is a nice recording from the 9:30 Club and if you like the album, check out the show whole show because they perform a big chunk of it in order. Fleet Foxes only have International tour dates on the books as of now, starting September 6th in Stradbally.

Artist & Title: Guster – Fa Fa
Date & Venue: 2009-08-08 Maine State Pier, Portland ME
Taper & Show Download: Dave Mallick

Popular opinion seems split on the trend of band’s performing classic albums in their entirety. I for one, am all for it. Last year I saw Built To Spill perform Perfect From Now On, and this year I saw Vic Chestnutt and Elf Power perform Dark Developments in sequence. Guster is the next band to tackle this concept, choosing the ten year anniversary of their album Lost And Gone Forever. That tour hasn’t started yet, but this is a track from the album. Celebrating Ten Years Of Lost And Gone Forever starts this fall.

Artist & Title: Phish – Light
Date & Venue: 2009-08-07 The Gorge, George WA
Taper & Show Download: Ian Stone

While Phish still hasn’t sounded very confident playing Light, it has led to a few nice jams, including this one from The Gorge. Towards the end, the band locks into a I/IV/I/V [thanks Ryan D.] progression that inspires them to “Oooh” over the top. They were feeling it night one of The Gorge. Phish plays tonight in Darien Lake NY.
