I apologize that you have not seen a new addition of Last Week’s Sauce in nearly a month, but I have recently switched coasts and am now a resident of San Francisco. I’m settled in and excited to get back to my regular HT columns. This week, we’ll take a listen to a new song from the moe. side project Disgrace, Keller Williams, Jimmy Herring Band and a great acoustic segment to close from Little Feat members Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett.
A reminder, you can download all of this week’s audio in one easy to listen to MP3 that we call the Last Week’s Sauce Podcast, click here to download.

moe. has got a new side-project titled Disgrace that features Al, Chuck and Rob on acoustic instruments. In addition to a lot of moe. songs and covers, the project debuted an original at this Kentucky show titled Little Miss Cup Half Empty. Disgrace [tour dates] plays tonight at 8×10 in Baltimore, MD.
READ ON for tracks from Keller Williams, Jimmy Herring Band, and the Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett Acoustic Duo…
In you’re asking me, which you’re not, Jimmy Herring is one of the top guitarists touring today. Jimmy is on tour with the supporting cast of Neal Fountain (bass), Jeff Sipe (drums) and Matt Slocum (keyboards). The audio selection first features an extended take on a track from Herring’s 2008 album Lifeboat and second is a slow-tempo cover of The Meters’ Funky Miracle. The Jimmy Herring Band [tour dates] plays tonight at Visulite Theater in Charlotte, NC. If he is coming to your town, do not miss the opportunity to see such this master of his instrument in an intimate setting.

Keller [tour dates] is currently pulling double duty on the road playing his own solo shows as well as appearing with Yo Gabba Gabba. He plays three shows tonight, a 3pm/7pm for the kiddies and his own solo show at Harlow’s in Sacramento at 9pm. The audio selection features a 14+ minute rendition of Keller’s Best Feeling, originally released on his 1999 album Breathe, which was recorded with The String Cheese Incident.

Last week, Jeffrey Greenblatt filled in for me again and put together a great Cover Wars for Little Feat’s Willin’. As a nice follow-up to that feature, we’ve got a great recording of Paul Barrere (Little Feat member since 1972) and Fred Tackett (longtime Little Feat contributor and current member) performing a great selection of four songs here, leading off with Willin’. If you want to see Paul and Fred Acoustic [tour dates], I hope you live in Hawaii as those are the only two future dates currently on the books.
The video isn’t from last week, it’s from a couple months ago, but here is Paul and Fred playing Rocket In My Pocket:
