Last Week’s Sauce: September 13th – 19th

Furthur – Mountain Song
Date & Venue: 2010-09-17 Cuthbert Amphitheater – Eugene, OR
Taper & Show Download: Chris Larson

OK, this is going to get confusing. The Mountain Song, by Jerry Garcia and Paul Kantner dates back to 1971. Now, according to that same website, Robert Hunter wrote lyrics based on the chorus of that song. And then a third arrangement of the song has been debuted by Furthur and you can read all about the origins here. I *think* I get it. Furthur starts their 3-night run at Red Rocks tomorrow.

I saw my first Pavement show last week in Boston and was thoroughly impressed. The band was tight and extremely energetic especially considering they have been on a world tour for many months now. Pavement plays tonight in Central Park, if only they had given us more notice.
