Leftovers: Best Phish Comeback Coverage
It’s been quite the week around these parts. We all knew Hidden Track would have plenty of coverage of the Phish Reunion, but we didn’t realize how many major news organizations would cover the comeback. I read most of the articles as I entered ‘em over at You Enjoy Myblog. Plenty of haters, plenty of fluffers and a few exceptional articles like these…

- The Burlington Free Press talked to fans about Phish’s comeback
- Virginia’s Daily Press explored the hectic Hampton hotel situation
- Rupert wrote the brilliant ‘Twas The Night of the Announcement
- Idolator looked into Phish’s claims that they can take back tickets
- Phish took most of the top spots on Google’s Today’s Top Trends
- The Washington Post predicted a story you may see on March 5
Finally, while most bloggers seem excited for the comeback there are plenty of haters. With all due respect to Weinish, our favorite bitter blahg about the reunion comes from The Kentucky Farmer aka Mike Farmer. We’re talking about a guy who proudly claims to spend his time “picking scabs and eating snack cakes,” and he’s so pissed people would consider making the drive from Kentucky to Hampton in this age of $4 / gallon gas that he wants to drop all the Phish fans in Iraq. You gotta read this drivel.

from Kentucky Farmer’s blog:
“Jam bands shot up like weeds all over America, many of them content to never write tunes. Instead, one of them would call out a key and they’d noodlenoodlenoodle for a half-hour at a time. It’s like they took the corpse of The Grateful Dead, soaked it in bleach, then castrated it.”
you just gotta laugh.
seriously.
