Post-Grateful Dead act Furthur opened yet another tour last night at the Cuthbert Amphitheater in Eugene, OR and fans of the band who couldn’t make it were able to enjoy some sights and info from the show via the Furthur Twitter Feed. Not only did the feed provide setlist updates, but it also gave fans a look behind the scenes with photos from crew members’ positions and even one from Phil Lesh himself.

The tour continues tonight in Redmond, WA and it remains to be seen whether the band’s rep handling the tweets will keep it up all tour long or possibly add more elements to the feed. We’re at an interesting point in Twitter’s development and we expect our favorite acts to make use of the technology to continue to break down the wall between band and fan.
