Mickey Hart Didn’t Expect To Be The Victim Or The Crime
Ex-Mystery Box drummer Mickey Hart has responded to allegations that he assaulted a fan after his set last Saturday at the Terrapin Hill Harvest Festival in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
Hart took to his Facebook page to issue this statement…
I am totally baffled by a bizarre claim of assault by me coming out of Kentucky – the home of Bluegrass and a state I love dearly. Any accusation or claim of assault against me is completely false and without any basis whatsoever. I played drums on “Shakedown Street,” but I never expected to be “The Victim or the Crime.”
No further word yet on the exact nature of the alleged victim’s allegations.

Ex-Mystery Box drummer? Low blow?
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Mystery Box … that’s rich comedy gold!!
Met Mickey on a plane to New Orleans in 2005. He’s not the nicest guy.
I have a friend who told me Mickey was a complete jerk to other musicians in the hospitality tent at Bear’s Picnic. Enough so that it almost came to fistacuffs. Interesting how this is all snowballing for him right now.
Ex mystery box drummer? Bahahahah. Good one Scotty!
The Fire on the Mountain rap that Mystery Box did was hilarious.
Don’t hate me if I actually am moved by “Down the Road.”
…his taped appearance during the Jerry 70th bday webcast hinted that he just may tip back a few too many once in awhile
although he would have to drink to get through one of those FOTM raps…or perhaps to forget it ever happened
