Monday’s Hors d’Oeuvres

Addison Groove Project‘s 10-year career came to a close on Saturday night.

The first concert I ever booked featured AGP playing in front of 50-60 people at Skidmore College in 1998. After seeing the incredible level of talent each band member possessed, I was blown away to find out most of them were still in high school. Bassist John Hall then entered Skidmore as a student the next fall, and AGP soon recorded their first album at a venue on campus. I’m sad to see their career end, and we here at HT wish all the band members the best moving forward. Those guys are too talented to stay on the sidelines for very long.

  • Fellow Skidmore alum Mike Greenhaus discusses his connection with AGP and interviews keyboardist Rob Marscher on the end of the road
  • Keith Richards, Jay-Z, and Eddie Vedder head the list of presenters at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony
  • More tracks from Wilco’s Sky Blue Sky
  • Stewart Copeland finds the balance between his film work and The Police
  • After three years, Bjork is ready to release a new album
  • FoxTrot vs. RIAA
  • Glide Magazine’s Shane Handler gives Assembly Of Dust’s Recollection four and a half stars: the album hits stores tomorrow
  • As if Arcade Fire wasn’t getting enough press the Montreal natives were on the cover of the New York Times magazine yesterday
  • Check out this clip of Frank and Moon Unit Zappa appearing on the Late Night with David Letterman in 1982
  • Major League Baseball will be running a booth at Langerado

  • The lineup for the Grateful Fest in Ohio features the Dark Star Orchestra, Zero, Umphrey’s McGee and more
