Monday’s Hors d’Oeuvres

As another work week begins, take solace in the fact that Christmas is a mere two weeks from today, New Year’s Day just three weeks from today. So keep your chin up and your mind entertained with the best the interwebs have to offer:

  • Trey Anastasio’s Buried Alive from The Warfield on Friday night is even better than you would have guessed
  • moe. changes its taping policy for New Year’s Eve, allowing soundboard patches at Radio City Music Hall
  • Dennis Cook writes a terrific feature on the highly underrated Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey for Jambase
  • There are so many incredible shows coming up in NYC this week — luckily Neddy does a great job of showing you your options (presumably so you can weigh them, whatd’ya say?)
  • Fellow Skidmore College alum Mike Greenhaus asks a number of musicians, managers and industry gurus for their thoughts on the Best of 2006 for a four part series on Jambands.com
  • Ween finally plans to hit the studio
  • The surviving members of Sublime go after a tribute band for false advertising (much like The NeverEnding Story)
  • Two years after Dimebag Darrell’s unfortunate shooting death, the owner of the club at which he was killed tries to move forward

Have a great week and please let me know if I missed any interesting links…
