read that NY Times Radiohead article. Great stuff!

"Will Botwin, the president and chief executive of ATO Records Group, optimistically described the download (of "In Rainbows") as “the world’s largest listening party,” drawing attention to the album among Radiohead’s core fans."

very insightful.

Just a heads up, Mr. B...we lost two big ones on this day:

1967 - Otis Redding dies in a plane crash near Madison, Wis., at age 26. His biggest hit, ``(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay,'' was released just three days earlier.

1999 - Rick Danko, bassist and singer for acclaimed rock act the Band, dies at his home in Woodstock, N.Y. The Ontario-born musician would have celebrated his 57th birthday on December 29.

RIP...two of the greatest voices ever.

I've said for an insanely long time that the popular rock band Phish should have covered Chest Fever back in the day. But they blew it. And they never did. And then Panic did it, somewhat admirably, but still, The Phish could have destroyed that tune. Oh well, one-fourth playing with Levon ain't too shabby.
