One of the cooler new trends on ‘net is the emergence of taper blogs. This week NYCTaper posted a list of seven different taper blogs from across the country that cover a wide range of genres. Downloading shows from torrents is very impersonal, so it’s really cool to read about the experience that tapers had at a show they recorded. Let’s hope more taper blogs continue to pop up.
- The Doors w/ Eddie Vedder – January 1993 SBD [via Quality Boots]
- Stevie Ray Vaughan – 07/03/1988 SBD [via Double-parking]
- The Damned – Assorted Tracks [via Bleedin’ Out]
- King Crimson – Fillmore West 1969 SBD [via Blog Stoned]
- Dirty on Purpose – 04/04/2008 DAUD [via NYC Taper]
- Umphrey’s McGee – Podcast #62
- Morrissey – 08/17/2006 FM [via T.U.B.E.]
- Iron Maiden – 08/22/1992 SBD [via Blog Stoned]

I’m not a taper, but I (like almost every other person on the planet) have started my own blog. It’s called Mystic Chords Of Memory. I’m hoping to share a show or two a day, and maybe a few links here and there. So far I’ve uploaded shows by Norah Jones, R.E.M., Band Of Horses and Bad Religion. I hope you and all your readers check it out.
