My Latest iTunes Purchase: Attic Jam

On the recommendation of my indie-bent pal Doc Hoobs, I legally downloaded the 19-track, Pete Townshend-infused Attic Jam off of iTunes.

The playlist features songs recorded from Rachel Fuller’s online music chat program, In The Attic. And after just one listen, I’m starting to agree with Hoobs’ viewpoint that by listening to many of the bands on today’s rock scene, it turns out that The Who may just be the most influential classic rock band of them all.

Spin.com posted an exclusive video of The Fratellis playing the impossibly catchy Got Ma Nuts from a Hippy with Pete Townshend on Fuller’s show, and I defy you to watch it and not be interested in either the band or this compilation.

Tracklisting for Attic Jam, available on iTunes:

1. The Kooks – “Ooh La”
