The three shows in Port Chester will be part of the band’s Spontaneous Curation series in which fans help determine the setlists, while New Year’s Eve won’t be “in order to ensure an evening full of surprises.” Pre-sale tickets for all four shows will be available to the band’s fan club Roll Call Wednesday at via mymornngjacket.com. Tickets for Capitol Theater will go on sale to the general public, Friday at 10am EST via ticketfly.com. Tickets for Agganis Arena will be available to the general public, Friday at 12 noon via ticketmaster.com.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band will open on NYE, while an opener for The Cap will be revealed soon. You might recall that MMJ front man Jim James revealed the band was looking at Boston for New Year’s to Rolling Stone scribe Andy Greene back in May. In other MMJ news, the group’s official Twitter feed spread the news that they won’t repeat any songs at this week’s three-night stand in Los Angeles.
