This afternoon we were discussing bands our readers would like to see reform to record new material a la The Cars and The Feelies as part of our #htconvo when an amazing suggestion was made – Percy Hill.

It turns out the possibility of the New Hampshire-based jamband entering a studio to record some new tunes isn’t so far fetched. After reuniting for a birthday party and performance at the legendary Stone Church back in 2009, Old School Percy Hill will come together once more to play a special benefit show at Fury’s Publick House in Dover Rock City, NH on June 17.

Proceeds from the show will go to Playing For Change, a foundation “dedicated to creating positive change through music and arts education.” Local faves Truffle Duo are set to open and tickets are available through TicketLeap. The Old School Percy Hill lineup consists of guitarists Tom Powley and Joe Farrell, brothers keyboardist Nate Wilson and percussionist Zack Wilson, drummer Dylan Halacy, and bassist Jeremy Hill – a version of the band from the mid ’90s. Let’s hope there are more shows,  and new songs, in Old School Percy Hill’s future.

[Thanks to Jeremy Welsh for the suggestion and Pete Costello for the heads up]
