All this week we are exploring Hajimemashite, one of Umphy’s McGee’s oldest songs and the closing track on their latest album, Death By Stereo. On Monday a 1997 basement recording by Tashi Station, guitarist Brendan Bayliss and bassist Ryan Stasik’s pre-UM band, was made available and yesterday we posted the Songs for Older Women version from the 1998 Umphrey’s McGee live album. Today we have another killer take lined-up and we have even more on deck to round out Haji Week.

We went to @Hidden_Track and asked for your favorite version of Hajimemashite as the subject of this week’s #htconvo. The band’s producer and sound caresser Kevin Browning (@Soundcaresser) may have said it best:

@ older versions are magic, and capture the UM sound properly, but NYE10 was special since it was my first Haji. #htconvo
