Paul McCartney Unveils ‘New’ LP Tracklist, Producer Credits

Paul McCartney

A couple weeks after revealing his sweetly tuneful new single, “New,” Paul McCartney has offered the full tracklist and producer info for his new LP — his first of original material in six years — also titled New. The album is out October 15th in the U.S.

We’re happy to see that “Hosanna,” an emotional ballad produced (and heavily hyped as a masterpiece) by Ethan Johns, has been included.

Speaking about the album on his website, Sir Paul stated, “It’s funny, when I play people the album they’re surprised it’s me. A lot of the tracks are quite varied and not necessarily in a style you’d recognise as mine. I didn’t want it to all sound the same. I really enjoyed making this album. It’s always great to get a chance to get into the studio with a bunch of new songs and I was lucky to work with some very cool producers. We had a lot of fun.”

New was recorded at a handful of studios across Los Angeles, New York, and London; it was executive produced by Giles Martin and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent. The total running time is 46:11.

The album is available for pre-order at Amazon.
