Phish @ Chicago’s Toyota Park – Setlist

For the first three stops on Phish’s second tour since reforming the band visited some of their favorite old haunts. Last night in Chicago the quartet visited a venue that was completely new to them – Toyota Stadium.

During the middle of the first set, the boys busted out the first Paul and Silas since 1998 and the debut of a Page-sung tune called Windy City. The second set saw the return of Carini and another extended Harry Hood.

Set 1: Kill Devil Falls, Sample In A Jar, Ocelot, Paul and Silas, Windy City, The Curtain With, Train Song, Gumbo, Heavy Things, Time Turns Elastic

Set 2: Backwards Down The Number Line > Carini > Gotta Jibboo, Theme From The Bottom, Wilson, 2001 > Chalk Dust Torture, Harry Hood, The Squirming Coil

Encore: Loving Cup

We’ll have more on this show, including photos and a review, soon. Meanwhile, Phish moves onto the northeast for four shows at amphitheaters throughout the region – Darien, Hartford, Merriweather and SPAC.

  1. same set openers and encore as Asheville…second chalkdust and backwards down the numberline in two shows. perhaps a bit more variety for the NE?

  2. Too bad they didn’t play a 3rd set, I think they may have missed a few songs from Joy.
I thought they sounded great and the second set was fun, but I could’ve used about 2 or 3 less new songs.

  3. YES! All through Windy City, my friend and I were trying to place what it sounded like. It’s for sure St. of Circumstance! Thanks Dina!

  4. definantly a little antelope tease around 24 min into the 2nd set… i think it was at 24, im listenin to wilson now.. but def there

  5. Our first Phish EVER! Loved old with some new. As for playing a third set or an additional encore, I believe Toyota cuts the lights at exactly midnight. Son was at a show the and the band played long and was going over to midnight and sound went off lights came on. a real downside since Midway makes noise all night . Great show looking forwrd to seeing them agin.
