Phish San Francisco Setlist and The Skinny: Night Two
Phish returned to San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium this evening for the second of three consecutive, sold-out performances at the the historic venue which was built in 1915.

After keeping to heavy rotation favorites through the first two shows of the leg, Phish dug a little deeper into their repertoire towards the end of the opening stanza by dusting off the Mike Gordon-penned Sugar Shack (last played October 29, 2010). Sugar Shack was the first song of this West Coast swing that hadn’t been played earlier this year. First set improv was found within Wolfman’s Brother and Split Open and Melt.
Considering the last two second set openers rank among the highlights of the young tour, hopes were high when Phish started Golden Age. However, the band chose to quickly move on to Piper. Quick moves between songs were par for the course over the rest of the set with the exception of a pretty, ambient jam that came out of Simple featuring Page McConnell on Wurlitzer. Staples Show Of Life and Character Zero served as the encore. Phish finishes the San Francisco Run on Sunday.

Way to get the 1st punch in!! UNFORTUNATELY..you have no REAL info…only a setlist. It was a SUBPAR show….and you should fucking know this much if you payed any attention at all. Shitty show. HORRIBLE REVIEWING on your part. Which is the only thing on par tonight. Your shitty review.
That is why it is called “The Skinny” brah. It is not a review, it is a snapshot of some of interesting details about the show, venue, statistics, etc…much in the same way the Reader’s Digest isn’t considered a book. You just did shitty drugs and got burned out and are pissed because they didn’t play Freebird for you
^and your revelatory review is…? Subpar because..? No jamming? Lots of flubs? Not enough bust outs. Setlist looked nice, especially that second set (lots of heavy hitters) which I couldn’t complain about, but apparently you can, and will. Sigh, phantasy tour called and is looking for their resident show bashing, antagonist.
Thanks Dood!
End of second set was tasty. Wilson horse silent Weekapaugh fluff loving cup was sweet…enjoyed it muchly
unfortunately, i dozed off in to the second set (east).
enjoyed the show. wolfman’s was great but i found sugar shack a little hard to listen to. i just don’t think they did it much justice last night.
how can you really complain about the best damn band on the planet?!?!
leg one was such a treat! let’s hope for more of that in the weeks to come.
Nice work as always on the skinny. People commenting on this don’t come here often and don’t know shit about Phish. You people commenting here just fucking suck. It was a killer show. I’m beginning to think people making shitty comments just hate this band.
um…jack, I’ve been commenting on the Hidden Track since, damned near, day one w/ Ace Cowboy and Scotty B. Agreed fully w/ Dood. that is why it’s called “The Skinny”. Keep it up HT…and phish! This Left Coast tour is just warming up peeps.
Everyone’s talking about OKC Zoo as the “sleeper show.” May I respectfully predict Kansas City this Wednesday as a show I think will go down in the ages as one of thee greatest Midwest Ph-shows ever. just a hunch.
I should have directed my rage exclusively at Colin.. Sorry
