From what I remember I had a great time at the last 2 Wanees and am going again this year!! I cannot wait. I fondly named this festival “Woodstork”—homage to our migrating-friendly bird. This event is also a way to reflect our primative yet peaceful selves with more trees to hug than a Bonnarroo. I encourage all to enjoy, age, race, gender it does not matter. By the way, this is the real Florida and don’t forget Suwanee Springs across the road outside the gate! Peace my good friends of all religions and walks. it’s almost a year. i’m looking for wanee 2008. what more can you say about the allman bros; govt mule; robert randolph; i may never forgive myself for not making it all the way with derek trucks, i WAS pacing myself. rusted root; they can play the same set for every show…..they’re the greatest..scrapomatic…i can feel the show like it was yesterday

Gr8 time had by all my crew. The music was amazing and in my mind there is still no better venue to have such a festival. As for Rusted Root, the last time I saw them was Further Fest 1998. I was stoked to see them again ,and they didn’t let me down. See ya’ll next year. Peace and vegetables!

Okay, you forced it out of me, I was running from stage to stage with George when he was shooting the pics. But he missed the 3:00 a.m. golf cart ride on Sunday morning in the rain. I’ll send you the inside scoop on the Third Wanee Festival as soon as I can decipher my notes! It’s taken me this long to recover! This “mushrooming” festival just keeps getting better each year……

One of the only interesting parts of the Langerado press conference was when Michael Franti said something to the effect of “we never play the same festival two years in a row.”

I thought that was pretty funny considering he was at Langerado in 2006.
