Umphrey’s McGee and their most rabid fans filled Park West in Chicago on Friday night for UMBowl III, a marathon football-themed concert where the audience played a major role in determining what happened. We’ll be posting two galleries worth of photos from this historic night in UM history, starting now with snaps from Tammy Wetzel.

The show (full recap here) featured four “quarters” worth of music, each with a different theme.
Here’s a gallery of 20 fantastic photos from Tammy Wetzel and a short video of Umphrey’s McGee covering Help On The Way by the Grateful Dead for the first time in 12 years…

UM BOWL 3 was a waste of $110. Terrible song selection & sloppy playing. Add some new songs for the choices on the screen. They’re the same every year. Lower ticket prices and a bigger venue would be nice. Vince Iwinski, the band’s manager is a moron. I still remember the boat cruise debacle in 2004. Total idiot. All he cares about is if there’s beer in the fridge. Nice gig.
