Preview: Fourmile Canyon Revival

October 9 happened to be just one night before Phish was to begin their fall tour at the same venue, Broomfield, CO’s 1st Bank Center. Because of Phish’s history with and deep connection to the state of Colorado and its community, and the coincidence in timing, the four members were quick to jump on board in an effort to help.

Tickets sold out in a matter of minutes.

“I am really proud and excited that this event has generated so much community support and hope that it will go a long way towards helping the folks that need it the most,” says Moseley.

As the String Cheese Incident was not slated to play a show until their October 29 and 30 Hulaween shows in Hampton, VA, and Phish fans in the area don’t often get to see the band for more than a night or two, there has been considerable added hype around the show for its musical merits as well.

All proceeds from the event are being donated directly to the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund, which is also accepting donations through the website www.commfound.org. Those attending the show, or anybody who is in the area, can also make a contribution through Conscious Alliance, who will be hosting a food drive at the 1st Bank Center to benefit the Boulder Community Food Share. Patrons who donate 10 non-perishable food items will receive a free limited-edition poster by rock artist Richard Biffle.
