Pullin’ ‘Tubes: Don’t Come Around Here No More
It’s a fairly lonely existence being a Vampire Weekend fan, the band everyone loves to hate. Yesterday, as torrential rains poured on the band’s hometown fans at Central Park’s Summer Stage it felt like even god hated Vampire Weekend. Yet the band persevered and delivered an energetic 60 minute set filled to the brim with concise pop songs that had the crowd dancing and jumping along with the beat.

Towards the end of the show Chris Baio strode to the microphone and told the crowd that they couldn’t end “the greatest show of their career” without doing something special. They welcomed Andrew W.K. to join them for a nearly spot-on cover of Tom Petty’s Don’t Come Around Here No More. Check it:
