In an effort to promote their latest release The Stand-Ins – the follow up to the acclaimed The Stage Name and their second album in as many years – Austin indie-rockers (and former BtN act) Okkervil River asked a number of their musician friends to contribute cover versions of each song that appears on the album, to be showcased via their YouTube channel. Will Sheff & Company have assembled quite an impressive roster of artists including Bon Iver, A.C. Newman and David Vandervelde to help out.

With the project coming to a conclusion, the band has released a music video of their very own for the first single off the album Lost Coastlines. Check out the innovative clip…

The band is currently on the road for a world tour that brings them to New York for a two-night stand at Webster Hall next Monday and Tuesday.
