Ace and I had our minds blown late last year by Beck and his band during their stop in NYC on the Information tour. Everyone’s favorite Scientologist put on a helluva show, an event that featured marionettes mimicking everything the band was doing. It was like two shows in one. I’ve seen a bunch of shitty audience-shot clips of the tour on YouTube, but I haven’t come across anything that really gives a good representation about what it was like to see those shows. Finally, some pro-shot shiz has been upped from last year’s Rock Over Seine festival.
Beck opened the show by having the puppets play along with a backing track of Loser. Halfway through the song the actual band takes the stage and kicks the song into high gear — just like we remember it:
