With 2008 in the books we can start looking ahead to all the new music that will be hitting the shelves in 2009. Among the releases that I’m getting excited about is Middle Cyclone – the new solo disc from alt.country chanteuse and New Pornographers vocalist Neko Case – who may give Warren Haynes a run for his money as the hardest working person in music.

While the album doesn’t come out until March 3, Ms. Case recently released this great making of featurette that will have to do in the meantime. Check out the army of pianos and Neko revealing some of her songwriting process that went into the new album…

Case is currently off the road, but expect a busy year for her between touring behind this release and hopefully with the New Pornographers who are also expected to release an album later this year.
