Ryan Bingham may never have a better year than he did in 2010, as the talented singer-songwriter took home an Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and Critic’s Choice award for The Weary Kind the theme song for the film Crazy Heart, which he co-wrote with T-Bone Burnett. He also released his third studio album, with the highly recommended Junky Star. Oh and he also happened to be named Artist of the Year by the Americana Music Association. So to say that all eyes were on Bingham to see what he did next, may be a bit of a understatement.

Last month the 31-year-old looked to build upon his recent critically acclaimed success with the release of Tomorrowland, his debut on his own label Axster Bingham Records. The 13-track affair is once again full of Bingham’s brand of crunchy roots-rock that straddles the line between rowdy outlaw country and acoustic folk ballads, highlighted by his whiskey-soaked vocals. Last night Bingham kicked off his lengthy world tour, which continues tomorrow night with a stop at Marathon Music  Works in Nashville and has released this Bones Brigade-inspired video for the record’s second single Guess Who’s Knocking. Let’s check it out…
